Residential Service Program
Trash
- Please have trash out, or curb accessible by 7 AM on service day*
- Limits- 3 barrels (up to 30 gal) OR 5 bags (30 gal) OR 96gal tote (we provide the 96gal tote for you if you sign up for weekly, year-round trash service)
- We do not provide barrels except for the 96gal tote (see above for stipulation).
- Extra bags are $1.50/bag and extra barrels are $2/barrel.
- Towns with “town bags” like Scituate, Humarock or Marshfield do not have to use those bags.
- Holiday weeks we are one day delayed- we send a list with each bill. We are closed only on major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s Day etc.)
Misc bulk items-debris is charged based on what it is and how much there is:
- Example: loose debris = $15 per measured yard
- TV = $25 etc.
- State law requires special handling on some items, they need to call ahead/review policy for info on large amounts of debris/clean out- we give free estimates, don’t quote over the phone.
Recycling
- Please have out/accessible by 7am
- Every other week
- Single stream-all materials may be commingled but clean (paper, plastic, glass, etc.)
- We have a dedicated recycling truck
- Please clearly mark your barrel "RECYCLING"
Yard Waste
Yard waste is picked up independently by one of our drivers. If you need yard waste picked up please contact the office and we will forward your information to him.

*Hull customer’s day is determined based on what part of town they are in; see street listing for day of week.
** Town of Marshfield requires a letter to the town stating that the customer has opted out of the town contract program. We provide it to the customer who gives it to the town with an abatement request.

- Monday, January 2nd (New Year’s Holiday Observed) – ALL days except Saturday affected, Pick up will be delayed by one day.
- Monday, January 16th (Martin Luther) – NOT a holiday for GWR
- Monday, February 20th (Washington’s Birthday) – NOT a holiday for GWR.
- Monday, April 16th (Patriot’s Day) – NOT a holiday for GWR.
- Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day) – ALL days except Saturday affected, Pick up will be delayed by one day.
- Wednesday, July 4th (Independence Day) – Mon, Tues & Sat: NO CHANGE. ALL other days (Wed, Thurs, Fri) will be delayed by one day.
- Monday, September 3rd (Labor Day) - ALL days except Saturday affected, Pick up will be delayed by one day.
- Monday, October 8th (Columbus Day) - NOT a holiday for GWR.
- Monday, November 12th (Veterans Day) - NOT a holiday for GWR.
- Thursday, November 22nd (Thanksgiving Day) – Mon, Tues, Wed & Sat NO CHANGE – ALL other days (THURS & FRI) will be delayed by one day.
